Personal Access Tokens

How to authenticate with personal access tokens

Use a personal access token to authenticate an internal or private application with the Calendly API v2. Do not share your personal access token with public sources. Do not reuse a token across applications.

Create a personal access token

  1. Open the Personal access tokens tab in Developer tools. In Calendly, open the Profile menu, select Developer, and then select Personal access tokens.

Don’t see Developer in your Profile menu? Your account is still being moved. Until then, manage personal access tokens from the Integrations page.

  2. Select Create personal access token.

  3. Enter a name for your token, and then select Next.

  4. Select the scopes that your application needs. Select at least one scope.

  5. Select Create.

  6. Enter the verification code that Calendly sends to your email.

  7. Copy your token and store it securely.

Calendly shows your token only once. To keep your token secure, Calendly does not display or store it after you leave this screen.

You can have up to 10 personal access tokens. If you are an organization admin, the tokens that you create give access to Calendly data for everyone in your organization.

Note: To authenticate a public application that other Calendly users connect to, see Creating an OAuth app.

Scopes

Based on the Calendly data and functionality that your application needs, you select a list of scopes when you create a personal access token. To see the scopes of a token, select the eye icon next to the token.

Revoke a personal access token

  1. Open the Personal access tokens tab in Developer tools.
  2. Select the trash icon next to the token.
  3. Confirm. You cannot undo this action.
